2609 Consulting is a new consulting business in Canberra, providing specialist construction services including admin support, office management, dispute resolution and bookkeeping.
The brief
The client was looking for a simple and professional logo to be used for basic stationery, as well as a style guide for future reference. The target audience for this project was local construction businesses.
The process
After conducting some market and target audience research, I decided on the style of logo; icon and wordmark.
For the wordmark, I focused on the ‘2609’ aspect of the business name, as the postcode for Fyshwick – one of Canberra’s main industrial areas.
For the icon, we decided to go with a Gantt chart concept. A Gantt chart is a project management tool which is commonly used in the construction industry, therefore easily recognisable to the target audience.
I also developed a style guide for the client which covers the proper use of the logo, logo variations and what not to do with the logo. It also includes the colour palette, typography and stationery design.
The finished product
And (drumroll please) here’s what we came up with…
